Junker Vibration Test

Vibration tests according to the experiment set-up created by the German engineer Gerhard Junker show the loss of pre-load under the influence of vibrations. Only the special wedge-based design of the ring lock washers keep reliably the initial pre-load. The increase of the clamp-load when untightening shows the advantage of ring lock washers compared with friction-based elements.

Test parameters:

• Bolt M8
• Pre-load: 80% of the yield point
• Clamp length: 30mm
• Amplitude: 0,3mm
